From Concept to Practice: Finalising the BA&VET Train the Trainer Programme

Within the BA&VET project, the completion of the Train the Trainer programme marks a decisive step towards ensuring high-quality implementation of dual bachelor programmes and continuing vocational education. Building on earlier development phases, the final concept, curriculum and teaching materials were consolidated based on structured testing and evaluation processes.

The programme was designed to qualify teachers, counsellors and university lecturers involved in delivering integrated education and training formats. Its core objective is to strengthen pedagogical, methodological and organisational competences required to successfully link vocational education and higher education and to respond to labour-market needs.

Testing and Evaluation as a Quality Driver

A central element of the finalisation process was the systematic testing of the programme in practice. Training sessions were implemented with relevant target groups and accompanied by a structured evaluation process. Feedback was collected through questionnaires and interviews, allowing both participants’ and trainers’ perspectives to be considered.

The evaluation results confirmed the strong relevance and practical value of the programme. At the same time, they provided concrete input for refining learning objectives, training methods and individual modules. This ensured that the final programme is both pedagogically sound and applicable in diverse institutional contexts.

Final Programme Structure and Teaching Materials

Following the evaluation phase, the Train the Trainer programme was finalised as a coherent and ready-to-use training package. It includes a clearly structured curriculum, modular training units with defined learning outcomes, and comprehensive teaching materials supporting interactive and practice-oriented learning.

The programme is designed to be flexible and adaptable, enabling institutions to tailor implementation to national and organisational conditions while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Strengthening Sustainable Implementation

With the completion of the Train the Trainer programme, the BA&VET project has established a key foundation for long-term impact. Qualified trainers are now equipped to independently deliver dual study programmes and continuing education formats, supporting permeability between vocational education and higher education beyond the project duration.

The finalised concept, curriculum and materials provide a solid basis for dissemination, transfer and continued use, ensuring that the project’s results remain relevant and effective in the years to come.
