Final Conference Gdansk 18.09.2025

The BA&VET project partners met in Gdansk on 17/18 September 2025 for the final workshop and transfer conference, marking an important milestone in their joint work on improving permeability between higher education and vocational education and training. Hosted in a collaborative spirit, the meeting brought together universities and VET providers from across the Baltic Sea region and beyond to reflect on progress and align on the last steps toward completion.

Participants revisited the project’s overall approach: developing dual bachelor pathways that integrate initial and further vocational training and respond to labour-market needs. A key focus was the finalization and dissemination of the project results, ranging from analyses and qualification needs to solution models, train-the-trainer formats, module manuals, the dual study courses and the further education programs. The workshop also addressed the project evaluation process, including feedback gathered through an electronic survey and interviews conducted by an independent expert.

In practical working sessions, partners discussed remaining activities and clarified agreements needed to finalise deliverables with consistent quality across countries. Two dedicated working groups explored how the results can be used sustainably, with attention to dissemination, implementation support, and realistic pathways for continuation beyond the project period.

Another central topic was coordinating inputs for the final report, ensuring that achievements, testing activities, and lessons learned are documented in a clear and usable way. The partners also prepared for the accompanying transfer conference on 18 September, designed to strengthen take-up and long-term impact.
